Thirty-year-old R&B singer Fantasia Barrino’s ex-boyfriend, Brandel Shouse, recently filed for full custody of their 13-year-old daughter Zion, according to a report from one of the celebrity’s representatives.
The child custody, visitation, and child support lawsuit was filed in Mecklenburg, North Carolina. The statement said that Shouse has had limited contact with Zion over the past 13 years, and Barrino has been solely responsible for providing her financial support. Barrino said that she expects the case, which will be heard in 2015, to go smoothly, as it should be immediately clear what is in Zion’s best interest.
