Cynthia Bailey says the hardest part of divorce is maintaining friendship with her ex

Reality television star Cynthia Bailey decided to divorce her husband, entrepreneur Peter Thomas, when their reality show, cable network Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta, was on hiatus for the season earlier this year.

According to a report, Bailey said the hardest part of undergoing a divorce is trying to remain civil with an ex-partner. She noted “a divorce is a very difficult thing to go through. It is spiritually and emotionally draining. The hardest part of this process for me has been trying to maintain a friendship and mutual respect for each other. We were friends before we were husband and wife. I just don’t want to lose that.” The divorce is coming after Thomas spent much of his time in Charlotte, North Carolina while she was living in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mary J. Blige ‘moving’ on from divorce with Kendu Isaacs

Forty-five-year-old singer, songwriter, model, and record producer Mary Jane Blige said her “heart is okay” during the process of divorce from her husband of 12 years, Kendu Isaacs.

Blige filed for divorce from Isaacs in July 2016, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason and requesting that any spousal support to Isaacs be discontinued.

In an interview with a magazine about the divorce, Blige said, “The breaking point was when I kept asking over and over and over again for respect and to be respected. And it just seemed like I was beating a dead horse. I just wasn’t getting it back so if I can’t get respect in the relationship, then I have to move on and save myself.”

A report from ABC News stated that Isaacs has asked the courts to grant him $130,000 per month in spousal support from Blige who is unwilling to grant such a stipend, saying it’s important for a divorcing woman to keep a close eye on her finances.

Peter Thomas says he was “blindsided” by Cynthia Bailey’s divorce announcement

Peter Thomas, owner of a string of sports bars and restaurants such as Bar One in Atlanta, Georgia and Sports One in Charlotte, North Carolina, and husband of 48-year-old supermodel and reality television personality Cynthia Bailey, said he was “blindsided” by her divorce announcement.

In a statement given to UPTOWN magazine, Thomas placed the blame for their marital woes on having most of their married life shown on Bravo’s reality television program The Real Housewives of Atlanta, saying, “On July 24th, Cynthia Bailey and I will be married six years, and for our entire marriage we have been a part of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Most of the highs and too many of the lows in our relationship have been on display for public consumption and condemnation since we joined the cast in 2010.”

Thomas said he was surprised when Bailey made the divorce announcement by herself, noting, “Until July 5th, I thought we were in agreement about our separation until I was flooded with calls, text messages, direct messages, and emails from my closest friends and family members.”

Angie Harmon and Jason Sehorn to divorce

After being married to each other for 13 long years, 42-year-old Hollywood television and film actress Angie Harmon and 43-year-old former cornerback for the National Football League Jason Heath Sehorn announced on November 3 that they have reached an “amicable separation,” BreatheCast reported.

Because of their conflicting work schedules across the country, their relationship was put under strain for a long time. As a family, they lived in North Carolina, but Harmon’s film schedule in L.A. called for her to spend months away from home. This, sources said, contributed heavily to their decision to separate. Sehorn proposed to Harmon in 1998 on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and they married three years later in 2001.

The couple has three children together: 11-year-old Finley, nine-year-old Avery, and five-year-old Emery, who will likely figure in a child custody arrangement.
