Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young has filed a petition for dissolution of marriage in his hometown of San Mateo, California from his wife of 36 years, Pegi.
According to data obtained by Rolling Stone Magazine on Tuesday, August 26, the “Heart of Gold” singer petitioned for divorce on July 29, 2014.
Pegi, who also has her own musical career, served as backup singer for Young during his 1990s concert tour. The couple last performed onstage together in October 2013 during a Bridge School benefit concert. Pegi’s name has recently been removed from the lineup of a concert that includes Neil Young on Saturday, September 13 in Raleigh.
