Lisa Pyle

Brief Biography

For Lisa, practicing law is about using her extensive litigation knowledge to support people facing deeply personal legal challenges and to guide them with empathy and clear judgment. She believes in practical solutions that protect her clients’ interests while minimizing unnecessary conflict. Lisa brings over 22 years of advocacy, negotiation, and courtroom experience to family law—combining a client-centered approach with tenacity and skill.

At Marshall & Taylor PLLC, Lisa applies her litigation background and client-centered approach to family law matters, guiding clients through divorce, custody, and support disputes.

A former New York prosecutor, Lisa brings a trial-first mindset to her family law practice. She evaluates cases as a judge would, builds records with litigation in mind from day one, and prepares every matter as if it may ultimately be decided in court. She prides herself on keeping her clients informed and updated at every step of the legal process.

Lisa also gained valuable experience working with the Federal Government and an Am Law 100 firm, where she developed the disciplined, detail-driven approach that now defines her advocacy.

Lisa is known for being direct, strategic, and communicative. She gives clients honest assessments, decisive guidance, and the confidence that their case is being handled by someone who understands both the emotional weight and the legal consequences. Her clients choose her not only for her courtroom strength, but for her ability to listen and understand what matters most.

Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, she enjoys the coastal community lifestyle in Wilmington, spending time with family and friends, traveling, beach walks, running, and skiing.
