Kate Davis
Client Engagement Manager

As the Client Growth & Engagement Manager, Kate has a very dynamic role. She focuses on ensuring Marshall & Taylor’s clients feel connected with their legal team and process. She also encourages engagement between our attorneys and other area professionals, and identifies ways our firm can make a positive impact in the Raleigh and Wilmington communities.
Kate’s background includes experience in project management and process improvement, client relationship support, business consulting and development, and community engagement. Her professional career began in corporate engineering where she spent nearly 12 years working with international teams on multi-million dollar projects in the high voltage and sustainable power industries. She ultimately left her corporate project management role to work alongside her father in his financial advising firm, where she obtained her NC insurance, Series 7, & Series 66 licenses. In doing so she not only established that she could successfully navigate learning a new industry but she also unexpectedly found her passion for supporting small business owners and their clients. Three years, two babies, and an incredible experience as an Ambassador for the Apex Chamber of Commerce later, Kate left the family business to accept a role as the Membership Director for the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce.
Taking over as Executive Director in January 2020, Kate’s leadership guided the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic and helped members of the Fuquay-Varina small business community find ways to recover in the years that followed. Despite the challenges they faced, Kate and a small team of volunteers achieved some incredible successes during that time. Reviving the town’s growers market, which provides community access to much-needed resources, is certainly one of those successes. Once the market grew enough to need a full-time manager, Kate used her extensive network to find and connect the market’s Board of Directors (on which she still serves) with the current market manager who has grown the weekly seasonal event well beyond its original size. Spearheading the production of the area’s first-ever Juneteenth celebration is another incredible success. The annual event, M.A.N.iFest Fuquay-Varina is now in its sixth year and brings together local businesses and organizations to showcase history, culture, and artistic expression.
After years of nonprofit leadership, Kate decided to pursue a role that would allow her to spend more time with her young sons. She found her new home in the small business world, instantly falling in love with the family law industry. Over the course of her career, Kate has been fortunate enough to apply her unique skillset in truly impactful ways. Her experiences have afforded her incredible insight into the importance of building deep, lasting connections, which she continues to do today on behalf of the Marshall & Taylor team.
